$21lots of food. Several courses.
Was there for a wedding, owner and staff were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Very nice place. I look forward to being there again in the future
The owner and her boyfriend have a very bad attitude. They make you feel like you are not welcome and that having you as guest is an inconvenience. The service is also slow and ineffective.
I really don't know what to write other then this was one or probably my worst experience in a sugar shack ever. Very disappointed. I had gone there 2 years ago and I had enjoyed so I decided this year to book for a group of 22 friends....bid mistake. I know feel bad for asking them to pay 30$ for this . Won't be coming back.
The cups that they tried to fill up coffee with weren't clean. Not just one person. We were a group and at least 3 cups were dirty. The selection is set, but not enough for everyone. The food was passable but not great. The portion is too small. Not worth it ($30, and the quality is at best close to Ikea quality that is worth $5). Will not come back again. The staff seems nice though.
Not sure were to begin but I really wanted to be good but ended to be a very very disappointing experience.Service: They seem to be smiling and that was good but it took 10 minutes when we arrived just for someone to say HI or talk to us.Food: Bread tasted like the frozen baguette you get at Metro in packs of two, I’m expecting boulangerie quality bread in such a place. Oreille de christ tasted burned sugar. Ham was too dry, beans was fine but cold. Breakfast sausage tasted cheap, again get some artisanal sausage or better quality. Egg are too blend and the meat balls needed more seasonings. The pea soup was nice but cold.Dessert: Sugar pie didn’t taste sweat enough and got a eggy sponge texture. Pancake need to be more fluffy, more bubbles.
Amazing cabane à sucre!! Great value for money and the food was delicious. You need to make a reservation so plan ahead.
We had a Mother’s Day brunch and it was exceptional. The Vignoble brought me back to my grand-mother’s cooking at a higher level. They deserve all the praises for a great and succulent brunch. Thank You Vignoble de Chelsea.
We drove from Ottawa to Chelsea. I stopped to get a small countainer of Maple Taffy $10 each. Its frozen which is fine with me But let say that as a real quebecers this is not the best Maple Taffy. Its dark and earthy and the taste is too strong. I should have opened the countainer to look at the taffy color before buying. Good Taffy must be a light gold color, Chelsea toffy is dark chocolat. They probably didn't get enough snow spring 2018, its too earthy, or they burned it. They should price it down the quality is not there. Its not worth the detour. I'm still looking for the real GOLD color Quebec toffy.
It's a nice space but was over priced for low quality food. Felt bad for the servers as there weren't enough working to handle the crowds.
Six stars. Best breakfast possible. I dare you try maple syrup, on the sugar pie. Love this place. We come here every year.
Vignoble de Chelsea was the venue for my wedding this past weekend. It was absolutely a dream come true and a magical day from start to finish. With under 100 people, the venue felt intimate and not over the top but still so stunning and beautiful. Nathalie calmed every nerve as we got closer to the big day and she helped me make the right choices for food selection, decor and alcohol for our guests. I was weary about doing a buffet style dinner as I have only attended weddings with a plated sit down dinner but the food was outstanding. Incredible salads, pasta and mechoui style meat. Every guest was saying how incredible the venue was and how delicious the food was. One of my favorite things about the venue is that the bar and dancefloor is all in the same area, which makes a great vibe and party to take you through the night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Can't say enough good things about my wedding. It was the best day ever!!! Thank you Nathalie and team!
My nephew got married here on Saturday, July 7th. Sadly, it was not a good experience. Guests were complaining that the owner seemed like she didn't want to be there and this was before the ceremony even started. There was a server wearing a white baseball cap, backwards, while serving appetizers. Thankfully, he eventually removed it. Bartender forgot to add alcohol to a few mixed drinks. The patrons had to tell him. Apparently, one person was being charged $2 for tap water. Staff was rude and left a sour taste in many guest' s mouths. Parking was atrocious with only 1 entrance/exit for vehicles. A vehicle even got scratched due to a lack of ample parking. The lighting outside (parking area) was so dark that it made it difficult to see. Definitely a walking hazard. I would not recommend this venue for any major events. There are many other venues whom offer better service and quality for the same price, if not cheaper.
Best sugar shack in the region, cozy family environment. The menu and quantity of food are great. A must-try in the Ottawa/Gatineau area during Spring.
My daughter chose this venue for her wedding day. When it was all over she said "my dream wedding came true" Upon booking the venu Natalie was very professional and guided us with confident choices for her day.The food was very good! Staff very friendly. The venu is a beautiful, peaceful vineyard with a romantic ambiance. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Natalie and staff for all your hard work!
I attended a wedding here yesterday and I had a wonderful experience. The venue was beautiful, and the staff were super friendly. I would highly recommend this place!
Every little girl dreams of her wedding, crying tears of joy and happiness not crying tears of complete disappointment and frustration by the end of the night. It appeared that the staff were overwhelmed. Service with a smile was certainly not on the menu. Popular drink mixes and beer were gone by 9pm. Leaving only a small amount of draft beer to choose from with a price tag of almost $9 a beer. All and all I would not recommend this venue for anything. Your money is better spent at a venue that appreciates and values you as there guest.
